The fixing process was way crude. Back then, I have no paint to work with. No proper tools to cut and join it. I cut it with a nail clipper and join it up with Uhu glue. End result, a crude white, glue infested F-14. That Tomcat deserved better but for a 13 year old, that was the begining of a long journey.
From F-14, there were a few more planes. Spitefire was one of them.
From planes, I ventured into battleships and tanks. Then into cars and bikes. It was during this process, I began to experiment with glues, cements, paints and putties.
Bandai 1/100 scale, Gundam F91. That is the begining of the transformation. It was this model that led me to Japanese cartoons and songs. From Gundam to Dragonball to Macross and etc. etc. etc.. The list goes on and on and on. Till one fine day, it stopped. It stopped at Bandai 1/100 scale Gundam Wings Endless Waltz. It stopped cause my dear father passed away and I am the sole bread winner for the family.
A few years later, on a fine Sunday morning. There was a write up on big boys toys in the local newspaper. It was this particular article on Marklin trains that made me remember my good old days. When I was young toddler, my grandfather bot me a train set. It goes around a track and has light and sound effects. And he is the one that bot me a electronic F-14 Tomcat and the electronic robot and the Matchbox cars. It was that day, the dragon has awaken again.
